As a newcomer in yoga the most important thing you'll need is your own body. clothes should be practical and comfy. You can buy yoga pants and tops, however it isn't necessary. Its advisable to take a coat or jacket for after your workout too. Also take along a bottle of water. When originally joining a class, see if they can provide the exercise mat for you. As you get more advanced there are other props you can purchase, however depending on the style of yoga practised, this may not be necassary.

There are so many great things to gain to get from Yoga, so if you are pondering it for the first time consider the variety of things you can enjoy. Whether it is a quick lesson, meeting new people, trying out mantras, doing Hot Yoga (also known as Bikram Yoga), Gentle Yoga, or trying out something new it is better to do something than nothing at all so why wait? Yoga is for everyone, so join in and enjoy yourself.
